Inter-School English Debate Competition
“For good ideas and true innovation you need human interaction, critical thinking and a debate.
Saraf Public School organised an Inter School English Debate Competition on 9th Dec, 2019 for different schools of town and region. The aim of this competition was to give students a creative platform to express what they feel. It also helped in enhancing their public skills and critical thinking. Five different schools of region took part in the competition. There were two enthusiasts from each of the school who spoke eloculently on the topic
“Education should focus on Maths and Science rather than Music and Art.”
Each contestant presented their views with lots of confidence, clarity of thoughts and perfect voice modulation. The main allurement of the event was rebutting round. Each question was answered very confidently and wittily.
This developed deep understanding among audience too.
Shelley Public School, Sitarganj was declared 1st by the Jury. Himalayan Progressive School, Kichha secured 2nd position and GS Convent, Sitarganj secured 3rd position.
There was special prize for best speaker, which was secured by Prerna Kulaura and Angel Dhingra of Saraf Public School.
The session was completely informative and a topic to ponder on.
